Patty Jenkins está mais do que preparada para ser a primeira mulher a dirigir um filme de "Star Wars".

Se eu posso estar em uma posição histórica como essa, se eu posso abrir caminho para outras pessoas, acho uma oportunidade incrível. Mas, por sorte, 'Mulher-Maravilha' também teve muitas pressões, então estou bem acostumada. Não há nada que você possa fazer sobre isso."

A cineasta vai dirigir "Star Wars: Rogue Squadron", filme que foi anunciado na semana ada, em evento da Disney que trouxe várias outras novidades da saga.

A diretora disse ainda que, em uma posição como a dela, é necessário "ser diligente e manter o foco o tempo todo": "Você precisa ter certeza que está pensando em tudo, que está fazendo o melhor que pode".

Dito isso, a maior pressão que ela sente é a de fazer "um ótimo filme de 'Star Wars' para os milhões de fãs" da saga. "Não é uma missão fácil, e é só nisso que eu penso", confessou.
